Wet Spinning Spinneret


In addition, wet spinning is also used to produce carbon fiber. Carbon fiber can be classified into PAN-base, and pitch-base. Nowadays, More than 90% carbon fiber is Pan carbon fiber. The PAN carbon fiber is produced via carbonization procedure of Pan, which is of high tension strength and high elastic strength. In general, wet spinning and dry-wet spinning are the main wet spinning methods. Especially the wet spinning is mostly used, which is of high productivity. In comparison with dry-wet spinning, the spinnerets used for wet spinning have more holes.
Wet Spinning is one of the major synthetic fiber spinning methods. Firstly the polymers need to be dissolved into solvent. Then the polymer solvent is extruded through the spinneret immersed in tanks which contains the polymer solvent, and then form the filament via solidification. Acrylic, vinyl, rayon are produced by this method.

In dry spinning, the polymer in the first is dissolved into solvent, then is extruded from the spinneret into the hot air and at last is solidified into filament due to rapid evaporation. Acetate, acrylic and spandex can be produced in this method. In comparison with round hole spinnerets, the irregular hole spinnerets place higher requirement in the accuracy for the hole of width, length and the angle of guide hole
